• Ella Ritschard Disner, 91, Denver, died Jan. 22, 2009, at Sunrise Homes Assisted Living in Delta.
No services are planned.
Mrs. Disner was a teacher.
Survivors include three sons, Richard of Cedaredge, Lee of La Veta, and Daniel of Denver; one daughter, Diane Grudt of Cedaredge; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

• Willard Henry Foos, 79, Grand Junction, died Jan. 25, 2009, at Mesa Manor Care Center.
Private services will take place at a later date.
Mr. Foos was a retired welding supply salesman.
Survivors include his wife, Marian J.; three sons, Lyle E. and Timothy G., both of Broomfield, and Ronald D. of Brighton; two brothers, Harold G. of Lakewood and Harrison D. of Kansas; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
• Dorothy Mary Minion, 78, Delta, died Jan. 23, 2009, at Willow Tree Care Center in Delta.
Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. today at St. Michael’s Catholic Church. Services will take place at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the church.
Survivors include two sons, Greg of Pittsburgh, Pa., and Gary J. of Albuquerque, N.M.; one daughter, Shawna E. Minion of Albuquerque; and one sister, Elsie J. Carelli of Delta.

• Louis “Lou” Van Shirlen Sr., 57, Palisade, died Jan. 23, 2009, at Hospice Care Center.
Services will take place at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Canyon View Vineyard Church.
Mr. Shirlen was a certified public accountant.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy “Dot;” three sons, Isaac of Northfield, Minn., Louis “Louie” Jr. of Palisade and Christopher-Michael Smith of Grand Junction; three daughters, Breaa Shirlen and Leah Shirlen, both of Marion, N.C., and Jennifer Smith of Grand Junction; his father, Cecil of Old Fort, N.C.; three brothers, Darrell, Charles and Vaughn, all of Old Fort; and two grandchildren.

• Della Tafoya, 94, Delta, died Jan. 24, 2009, at Montrose Memorial Hospital.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Mesa View Mortuary. Services will take place at 10 a.m. Thursday at Mesa View Mortuary Chapel. Burial will be at the Delta City Cemetery.
Mrs. Tafoya was a homemaker.
Survivors include two sons, Jose Fresquez of Glendale, Ariz., and Ernie Tafoya of Delta; four daughters, Jane Tafoya, Lita Armendariz and Viola Majors, all of Delta, and Shirley Tafoya of Montrose; 13 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
