Gordon Ray Bunger, 95, Grand Junction, died Feb. 16, 2014.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Martin Mortuary. Intermenwill follow at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery of Western Colorado.

He is survived by his wife, Jane; one daughter, Ona Brictson of Denver; two brothers, Donald of Fort Charlotte, Bahamas, and Fredrick of Crown Point, Ind.; two sisters, Ester Bunger of Lansing, Ill., and MaryAne Almy of Hammond, Ind.; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Robert James Grove, 92, Fruita, died Feb. 13, 2014, at The Willows Fruita Health West.

No services are planned.

Mr. Grove was a railroad conductor.

He is survived by one daughter, Cherylee Faux of Silverthorne; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Patricia Guernsey, 82, Grand Junction, died Feb. 16, 2014, at herhome.

Services will be held at a later date.

Ms. Guernsey was the owner/operator of a restaurant/bar.

She is survived by two sons, Dennis Cimmino of Bellingham, Wash., and Tim Cimmino of Stratton; two daughters, Rochelle Fleck of Grand Junction and Cynthia Rankin of Sandwich, Mass.; two brothers, William Gillin and John Gillin, both of Denver; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Jose Onesimo Herrera, 71, Grand Junction, died Feb. 15, 2014, at his home.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary Chapel, with a rosary at 7 p.m. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, with burial following at Orchard Mesa Cemetery.

Mr. Herrera was an owner/operator of a mobile home service.

He is survived by his wife, Veronica Louise; three sons, Joe Tony and Paul David, both of Corona, Calif., and Thomas Edward of Grand Junction; three daughters, Sophia Mary Avina of Corona and Donna Dee Herrera and Peggy Priscilla Rulf, both of Grand Junction; three brothers, Samuel, Napoleon and Raymond, all of Rocky Ford; two sisters, Gloria Lopez and Erlinda Garcia, both of Rocky Ford; 10 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild,

Dr. James Bennett Jasmin, 61, Grand Junction, died Feb. 15, 2014, at St. Mary’s Hospital.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Mesa Funeral Services Chapel.

He is survived by his wife, Kristen; two sons, Stevie Jasmin of Crystal Beach, Texas, and Justin Ochoa of Lubbock, Texas; two daughters, Cindy Jasmin of Galveston, Texas, and Jacey Ochoa of Lubbock; one brother, Steve Kindred of Huntsville, Texas; and one sister, Teri Browder of Slaton, Texas.

Joanne McDonald, 82, Fruita, died Feb. 15, 2014, at her home.

Services will at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Callahan-Edfast Mortuary Chapel.

Mrs. McDonald was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Paul B; four sons, Daniel H. Webb and Patrick P. McDonald, both of Grand Junction, Timothy J. Webb of Missouri, and Russell B. McDonald of Gillette, Wyo.; one daughter, Amy L. Harvey of Mesa; one brother, Jim Johns of Grand Junction; one sister, Jeanne Diets of South Carolina; and five grandhcildren.

Memorial contributions to Lower Valley Fire Protection District, 168 N. Mesa St., Fruita 81521.

William L. Morse, 83, Grand Junction, died Feb. 15, 2014, at HopeWest and Hospice.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary. Interment will be at 1 p.m. at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery of Western Colorado.

Mr. Morse was an electrician.

He is survived by one son, Tim of Grand Junction; two daughters, Nancy Morse of Colorado Springs and Joann Mills of Grand Junction; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Magdalena (Maggie) Ortiz, 91, Fruita, died Feb. 17, 2014, at her residence.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday at Fruita Funeral Home. Services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Emmanuel Christian Assembly in Fruita.

Ms. Ortiz was a homemaker.

She is survived by a son, Robert Garcia of Grand Junction; six daughters, Leonore Silva, Pam Maestas and Rebecca Lamb, all of Fruita, Katheryn Rodriguez of Grand Junction, and Lilia Dowe and Juanita Puls, both of Kingman, Ariz.; two brothers, Buddy Sanchez of San Diego, Calif., and Ernest Sanchez of Farmington, N.M.; two sisters, Juanita Vega of Fruita and Leona Chavez of Denver; 13 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

June Elizabeth Pearson, 91, Grand Junction, died Feb. 14, 2014, at the Grand Junction Veterans Medical Center.

Services will be held at a later date.

She is survived by two sons, Rick of Soquel, Calif., and James of California; one daughter, Kate Harris of Grand Junction; one sister, Beatrice Drake of St. Louis, Mo.; and one granddaughter.

■  Ralph (Neil) Smith, 49, Rifle, died Feb. 18, 2014, at St. Mary’s Hospital.

Arrangements are pending with Palisade Funeral Home.

Mr. Smith was a concrete worker.

He is survived by his parents, Ralph and Patricia of Rifle, and one brother, Donald of Rifle.
