Deaths, Feb. 7, 2014

Dr. Don “Doc” Adams, 82, Grand Junction, died Feb. 2, 2014, at St. Mary’s Hospital.

Services have taken place.

Survivors include wife Clara; sons Glen of Charlotte, N.C., David of Austria, and Roger of Cedar Hill, Texas; daughters Donna Fedukowski of Brandon, Ore., and Alicia Kempers of Parker; brother John of Arvada; sister Betty Jo of Louisberg, Kan.; and 15 grandchildren.

William “Bill” Wesley Butterfield, 86, Olathe, died Feb. 3, 2014, at St. Mary’s Hospital.

Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Olathe Assembly of God Church in Olathe. Burial will follow at Olathe Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Friday at Crippin Funeral Home.

Survivors include his wife, Phyllis; one daughter, Sheryl Starbuck of Montrose; one son, Phillip of Spokane, Wash.; and one sister, Arlene Eva McLaren; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Wallace Palmer Cardwell, 93, Grand Junction, died Jan. 30, 2014, at his residence.

Services will take place Feb. 15 at Olathe Cemetery.

Ruth Hamilton, 94, Clifton, died Feb. 5, 2014, at LaVilla Grande.

Mrs. Hamilton was a homemaker.

No services are planned.

Survivors include two sons, Richard Braslin of Paonia, Bill Clark of Kiowa; one daughter, Carolyn Hutchins of Billingham, Wash.; nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.

Memorial contributions can be made to Roice-Hurst Humane Society, 362 28 Road, Grand Junction, 81502.

Taylor Pridy, 19, Grand Junction, died Feb. 1, 2014, in Grand Junction.

Services will take place at 3 p.m. Saturday at Faith Heights Church.

Survivors include parents Terri Boggs and Daryl Pridy of Grand Junction; brothers Mason Pridy and Camden Miller, both of Grand Junction; and sister Madeline of Grand Junction.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Taylor Pridy Memorial Fund, c/o Timberline Bank, 633 24 Road, Grand Junction, CO 81505.

Joe “Boy” Serrano, 58, Grand Junction, died Feb. 4, 2014, at his home.

Rosary will be said Sunday at 7 p.m. at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary, followed by services 11 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Burial will follow at 7 p.m. at New Elmwood Cemetery.

Survivors include two sons, Carlos Romero of Dickinson, N.D., Michael Serrano of Fruita; three daughters, Candace Serrano, Jamie Serrano, both of Grand Junction, and Rosemarie Martinez of Fruita; and one sister, Joyce Serrano of Grand Junction.

Nathan Joel Stalter, 37, Grand Junction, died Jan. 31, 2014, at his home.

Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Community Free Church in Mahomet, Ill.

Survivors include his wife, Michelle of Grayslake, Ill.; his son, Brady Stalter of Cresco, Iowa; two daughters, Hope Stalter, Grace Stalter, both of Grayslake; his parents, Dennis and Lori Stalter of Mansfield, Ill.; one brother, Matthew Stalter of Albany, Ore.; and one sister, Avalon Stalter of El Segundo, Calif.
