Delta asking citizens, businesses to limit power use today

The City of Delta and Delta Montrose Electric Association wants citizens and businesses in Delta to limit electric service use between noon and 9:00 p.m. because a transformer has failed and power is being rerouted through other substations.

Reducing the amount of energy used will reduce the strain on the rerouting equipment, Delta officials said.

There are no planned outages scheduled.
