‘Distant Cities in the Mist’ open at Museum of the West

Lost cities in western Colorado?

A new exhibit reveals exciting research about possible expeditions to the Grand Valley area in search of lost cities.

“Distant Cities in the Mist — The Search for the Lost Kingdom” features information about several Spanish and possibly Aztec expeditions that visited the area. The museum will display early Spanish and Aztec maps, codices and a rare reproduction of the Holy Grail found in 1910.

The exhibit opens Friday, Jan. 15, at the Museum of the West, 462 Ute Ave.

A free opening reception will be from 5:30–7:30 p.m. and light refreshments will be served. Call 242-0971, ext. 215, or visit http://www.museumofwesternco.org for more information.
