E. Coli shuts down lake

The lake at James M. Robb Colorado River State Park is closed for the summer because of the presence of Escherichia Coli, park personnel said Tuesday.

The lake has been closed to swimmers for the past two summers due to E. coli exceeding minimum levels, according to Sentinel archives.

Goose excrement swept into the lake by rain has been the culprit for E. coli contamination at the park in the past.
