Eastgate City Market to close next month

The Eastgate City Market will close next month and employees will transfer to the City Market store that will soon open at 24 and Patterson roads.

City Market spokeswoman Kelli McGannon confirmed to The Daily Sentinel this afternoon that the store at 2830 North Ave. will shutter Dec. 11, four days before the new store opens near Mesa Mall. McGannon said Eastgate’s closure will not result in any lost jobs.

“In this economy, we just felt that was the best decision,” McGannon said of the closure.
