Enstrom tweaks name, updates logo
The corner of Seventh Street and Colorado Avenue was oddly bare this week as Enstrom Candies waited to unveil its new logo and sign.
The new sign was installed Wednesday afternoon, revealing a simpler, more elegant logo and company name, Enstrom.
The decision to simplify the company name was due in part to the confusion that some customers found when looking for the Internet web address. Those who searched for the possessive “Enstrom’s” were led to a Swedish furniture store.
The domain name caused confusion among Internet shoppers worldwide, and the company hopes to eliminate the confusion by changing the logo to reflect its website.
The logo also was updated in anticipation of a new retail opportunity: supplying national Whole Foods stores with toffee bars in the near future.
The new logo was designed by local marketing firm Cranium 360.
The design retained the familiar oval shape, but it eliminated the words “World Famous” and “Almond Toffee.” The company hopes the change makes the logo more inclusive of all the sweet treats Enstrom creates.
