Ex-professor pleads guilty to not registering

A former Mesa State College music professor pleaded guilty Thursday to failing to register as a sex offender.

George Rosenbaum, 53, will be sentenced Aug. 21.

Rosenbaum pleaded guilty to two counts of sexual assault on a child and was sentenced in 2000 to four months in work release and a minimum of 10 years probation for engaging in a sexual relationship with one of his high school viola students.

He was ordered to register as a sex offender for the next 10 years.
