Fall Day on the Farm at Cross Orchards promises to take you back in time

Park the car, corral the kids and turn off the cell phone and all other modern gadgets.

Then, step back to simpler times during a “Fall Day on the Farm” at Cross Orchards Historic Site, 3073 F Road.

From 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 23, visitors can enjoy a lazy haywagon ride, follow the aroma of food cooked on the old time woodstove, see historical demonstrations and an apple pressing.

There also will be farm animals, antique cars, model trains, quilting, weaving and bee-keeping information.

Admission is $4 for adults, $3 for seniors, $2.50 for children ages 3–12 or $10 for a family (up to six members). Museum members are admitted free.

Call 434-9814 or go to http://www.wcmuseum.org for information.
