Fast Eddy’s bar shuttered

Doors were locked Monday at a nearly decade-old bar off North Avenue, and a city official said the ownership has communicated its intent to close for good.

Grand Junction city spokeswoman Sam Rainguet said the owners of Fast Eddy’s Sports Bar and Grill, 1224 North 25th St., have told city officials they closed April 5 and will soon surrender their city liquor license.

The front entrance was locked Monday afternoon. Phone calls to the business were met with prompted messages indicating the number had been temporarily disconnected.

Three workers removed equipment Monday from the building’s kitchen.

Attempts to reach William and Adelle Lloyd of Grand Junction, Fast Eddy’s owners, were unsuccessful.

According to records,  the business was incorporated in May 2001.
