Felony theft case delayed until July

MONTROSE — A court hearing for Montrose School District employee Latricia Proctor, who is accused of theft, was continued Monday until next month, when she is scheduled to enter a plea.

She faces two felony counts of theft for dollar amounts over $1,000 and under $20,000.

Proctor, who worked for the school district for 23 years, was a secretary at Centennial Middle School until she was transferred to the district offices in August.

A complaint filed April 8 alleges that between the dates Aug. 11–26, 2009, Proctor stole money multiple times from the school. A second complaint claims Proctor stole money from the school on or around Jan. 5, 2009.

Her next hearing is July 11.
