Film documents seeing world on bike

This photo from “Reveal The Path” was taken in Switzerland, one of the many locales shown in this biking film from the creators of “Ride the Divide.” It will be shown at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 18, at Mesa Theater and Lounge, 538 Main St.

Have you ever considered just how far you can go by merely hopping on a bike?

“Reveal the Path,” a cycling documentary by Mike Dion, explores just that.

The full-length feature film with scenes from “Europe’s snow-capped mountains, Scotland’s lush valleys, Alaska’s rugged coastal beaches, Nepal’s elevated wonders and Morocco’s high desert landscapes,” according to a news release, will be presented at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 18, at Mesa Theater and Lounge, 538 Main St.

The documentary was filmed across four continents and features Tour Divide race legends Matthew Lee and Kurt Refsnider, who grew up in Boulder the news release said.

“‘Reveal the Path’ is a genre-defying adventure film that contemplates what it means to live an inspired life using the bicycle as a mechanism to explore, dream and discover,” the release said.

“The adventure will leave you with an eager desire to chart your own course to far away lands or simply to discover with eyes wide open, what’s right around the bend,” the release said.

Tickets to the film screening are $11 in advance and $13 at the door.
