For the birds: Help with brush cleanup around Nature Center

Plans are in the works to clear the brush around the Grand Valley Audubon Nature Center on Dike Road.



If you have a few mornings this summer to spare, you can help give tamarisk the bird at the Audubon Nature Center.

Bob Wilson, also known as Bluebird Bob for his endeavors building and putting up bluebird nesting boxes around the area, could use help clearing brush around the Nature Center on Dike Road.

It’s not hard work, though sometimes tedious, and it’s three mornings or so a week.

There is plenty to do, and you’ll be serenaded by nature’s song.

The birds thank you.

WHAT: Clearing tamarisk and other brush from around the Audubon Nature Center.

WHERE: The Nature Center on Dike Road just outside the gate to Connected Lakes State Park.

WHEN: Usually Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings, but other times can be arranged.
