GarCo sheriff will run for re-election
Garfield County Sheriff Lou Vallario formally announced Saturday during the Republican Lincoln Day Dinner in Glenwood Springs that he is running for re-election.
Vallario is nearing completion of his third four-year term.
“It was time to announce,” he said today.
Vallario said he enjoys being the Sheriff and working not only with people within the Sheriff’s Department but also the communities of Garfield County.
In his official announcement letter to county residents, Vallario wrote: “I believe the staffing, community programs, budget management, relationships with other local, state and federal agencies have all contributed to providing you with the best Sheriff’s Office possible. I am proud of that and honored by your support.”
He is currently running unopposed for the November election.
