General contractor named new Club 20 director

The Club 20 Executive Committee this afternoon announced that Western Slope native Bonnie Petersen will become the new executive director of Club 20.

Petersen, who will begin in her position Feb. 23, takes over for Reeves Brown, who left the western Colorado lobbying organization to become the executive director of the Colorado Department of Local Affairs.

Petersen is the owner and general contractor of GreenStar Homes in Grand Junction and is a certified energy rater with Frostbusters & Coolth Co. She previously worked as the public policy director for Qwest Communciations and a financial advisor with AXA Advisors.

She currently serves as treasurer of the Housing and Building Association of Northwestern Colorado. She holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Mesa State College.
