GJ Burger King robbed late Friday night

Grand Junction police are looking for a man who reportedly robbed a North Avenue Burger King late Friday night.

Officers responded to the restaurant at 1730 North Ave. about 10:15 p.m. and spoke with witnesses who said a man displayed a weapon and threatened them. He was last seen leaving the restaurant in an unknown direction with cash, according to a news release from the Grand Junction Police Department.

The robber was described as a black male, taller than 6-foot, with a muscular build. He was wearing dark-colored clothing and a ski mask, police said.

Police said the robbery is under investigation and further details will be released at the discretion of investigators.
