GJ police investigate injuries to couple

Grand Junction paramedics load an injured person into a waiting ambulance after an incident at 999 Bookcliff Avenue. Two people, a man and a woman, were taken to the hospital from the scene.

Grand Junction police are investigating an incident that sent a man and woman to St. Mary’s Hospital around 5 p.m. Friday.

Kate Porras, spokeswoman for the Police Department, said investigators were trying to determine what happened between the man and the woman at their home in the Monterey Park Apartments, 999 Bookcliff Ave.

“This is a criminal investigation, but we still are trying to determine exactly what happened,” she said.

Porras declined to release the two people’s names. She also said she was unsure of the duo’s condition.
