GJ under dense fog advisory
The Grand Valley is under a dense fog advisory until Sunday morning, as a relatively warm winter storm has socked in the area with thick clouds and rain.
The advisory, which also covers Interstate 70 in eastern Utah and Moab, is in effect until 9 a.m. Forecasters with the National Weather Service in Grand Junction say wet and icy roadways and low visibility — it’ll drop to less than a quarter-mile for several hours — will create hazardous driving conditions.
The forecast for Grand Junction calls for rain or rain mixed with snow through Monday night. Sunday’s high is expected to be 35 degrees.
