GJ Symphony’s ‘Vivaldi at The Avalon’ to feature music for all seasons

Spring, summer, fall and winter and more, will be presented by the Grand Junction Symphony Orchestra during its concert titled “Vivaldi at The Avalon.”

Performances will be at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 26, and at 3 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 27, at Avalon Theatre, 645 Main St.

The work of Vivaldi will be highlighted by classical guitarist Christopher Robin Johnson with “Guitar Concerto” and Jane Kuenzel, the symphony’s principal flautist, will perform the “Flute Concerto,” according to a news release.

Concertmaster Carlos Elias’ performance on the violin will highlight the evening during the presentation of “The Four Seasons.”

Classical Conversations will be one hour prior to each concert.

Tickets start at $15 for adults and $5 for students.
