Governor, Denver mayor host Sept. 11 event

DENVER — A remembrance in Colorado of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks will include remarks from Gov. John Hickenlooper and will also honor first responders who helped during the summer’s historic wildfires and the Aurora theater shooting.

Denver Mayor Michael Hancock and Aurora Mayor Steve Hogan are also scheduled to speak at the event Tuesday in front of Denver’s City and County building.

The event marking the anniversary of the terrorist attacks will include a remembrance march with first responders and military personnel.

World Trade Center artifacts and a New York City fire department truck will be on display.
