Grand Junction man, 30, is suspect in shooting

Grand Junction police arrested 30-year-old Kevin Earl Dunham on Sunday afternoon in connection with a shooting early that morning.

Police declined to offer further information about the incident, which occurred in the area of 12th Street and Bookcliff Avenue about 2:30 a.m.

Dunham was arrested on suspicion of attempted first-degree murder and first-degree assault, police said. The arrest warrant in the case has been sealed.

Police did not reveal the identity of the victim. The victim was taken to St. Mary’s Hospital early Sunday with injuries that did not appear life threatening, police said.
