Grand Junction man faces multiple charge
A Grand Junction man is facing multiple drug, weapons and child abuse charges after he was arrested for allegedly shooting a BB gun at a neighbor’s house, according to the Grand Junction Police Department.
Eric Stetzel, 44, was arrested in the 2300 block of Texas Avenue after a neighbor provided video surveillance tapes of an intoxicated Stetzel shooting at flood lights, according to arrest records.
The neighbor told police he installed a video camera on his property to record Stetzel’s actions because he had problems with Stetzel for more than a year.
While talking with the neighbor, the responding officer heard BB gun shots coming from the direction of Stetzel’s home, the affidavit said.
Stetzel is a convicted felon from a prior drug conviction, and police searching his home found five guns, several different types of prescription drugs, marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
Stetzel also had three children living with him, the affidavit stated.
The charges include menacing, five counts of weapon possession by a previous offender, three counts of possession of a controlled substance, three counts of child abuse, three counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor, possession of drug paraphernalia, prohibited use of a weapon, reckless endangerment and harassment.
