Grand Junction chamber offers seminar for business owners
While the frenetic pace of the holiday season is an important time of year for businesses, it also is when business owners are busiest planning for the new year.
Business owners considering expanding next year might want to attend a seminar Wednesday morning focused on that topic.
A breakfast seminar, “A New Way of Doing Business,” will offer business owners access to members of the local banking community, local contractors and members of economic-development groups.
A one-hour presentation by people on those panels will be followed by an hour of one-on-one discussion time for business owners, who can ask questions of panelists. The free event starts at 7:30 a.m. at Two Rivers Convention Center, 159 Main St. in Grand Junction.
“Whether they have something planned or are looking out there long term, it will help them to get a base of information from city planners and a variety of funding agencies,” said Diane Schwenke, president and chief executive officer of the Grand Junction Area Chamber of Commerce. “It’s only going to take an hour, and all of us are going to stick around to answer questions and really maximize the use of their time.
“If you’re looking (to expand) and you want answers, you’re not going to have to do it alone,” she said.
