Great Clips offers perfect cut, hosts Facebook contest

Great Clips stylist Bailie Weaver enters a customer’s styling information into the Clip Notes database. Great Clips is located at 2546 Rimrock Avenue.

You’re getting a haircut and have high expectations after receiving the perfect cut on your last visit, but this time a different stylist is working on your hair. If only there was a way for the new stylist to know exactly how to style it.

Great Clips, Inc. is using new innovation in an effort to provide a consistently perfect haircut. Clip Notes are electronic notes the stylist enters into a computer while styling a customer’s hair, allowing any stylist to pull up the notes to use on the customer’s next visit.

“We value our customers’ loyalty and want them to keep coming back for a consistent, quality haircut that makes them feel great,” said CEO of Great Clips Rhoda Olsen. “None of our competitors are offering such innovative solutions. With ‘Clip Notes’ we remain the industry leader by enhancing the customers’ experience through technology.”

The Clip Notes process is simple and extremely helpful according to stylist Bailie Weaver. Before a session begins Weaver types in the client’s name and pulls up exactly how the customer’s hair was cut before.

“Clip Notes is amazing because it really guarantees the client gets the same haircut every time. I love it,” said Weaver. “It’s especially helpful because most customers don’t know different clipping lengths, so the computer tells us what we need to know.”

Some customers might not want the same haircut, so Great Clips stylist Vicki Fillius is sure to tell the customer how their hair was cut before and if they prefer to have it done differently.

“Everyone comes with different instructions, and each stylist has their own unique way of cutting hair,” said Fillius. “It’s good to check if they might want to switch it up now and then.”

To promote the Clip Notes technology, Great Clips is hosting a social media campaign until Feb. 28 that awards people cash prizes for giving advice on life’s embarrassing moments. The campaign suggests that life would be easier if notes were available to guide people out of uncomfortable situations.

Great Clips will post hairy situations to its “Write a Helpful Note. Win a C-Note. Facebook Contest” page where contestants can win $100 bills for their helpful notes.

“The Facebook contest is a great idea because it gets our name out there and gives our customers a little fun,” said Fillius. “I’m even going to try it, I’m full of great ideas.”
