Great Falls rolls to 11-3 win over Rockies

Great Falls put together 17 hits to pull away for an 11-3 victory over the Grand Junction Rockies at Suplizio Field.

The Voyagers broke open a scoreless game with three runs in the fourth inning then added six in the fifth for a 9-1 lead. Every starting player in the Great Falls lineup had at least one hit.

Blake Shoush, who pitched five innings of no-hit ball in his previous outing, allowed six runs on nine hits in 4 1/3 innings and took the loss for the Rockies.

Raimel Tapia tripled and scored in the fourth inning to extend his hit streak to 15 games. Ryan Garvey hit a two-run home run in the sixth.

The Rockies host Great Falls in the series finale at 7 p.m. Monday at Suplizio Field.
