Guest percussionist, symphony to perform Strauss on Jan. 26
Percussionist Lisa Pegher will join the Grand Junction Symphony Orchestra as a guest artist for the concert titled “Strauss: Till Eulenspiegel” at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 26, in the Grand Junction High School auditorium, 1400 N. Fifth St.
Pegher has performed as a soloist in numerous venues in cities such as Chicago, Tokyo, Eindhoven, Houston, Philadelphia, Baltimore, Washington, D.C., and New York.

Pegher will spend a week prior to the concert as an artist-in-residence in School District 51 schools and will conduct master classes.
Tuesday’s concert will feature music from American composer Charles Ives and German masters Richard Strauss and Richard Wagner.
