Home with saltwater pool among area’s most expensive

Home for sale at 2612 Partridge Court.

The Mediterranean-style mini-mansion at 2612 Partridge Court is one of the largest, most-expensive homes for sale in the Grand Junction market.

It has five bedrooms, seven bathrooms, a saltwater pool and 16-seat movie theater.

But, it’s the extra details that make this home worth the $2.2 million dollar asking price, said Debbie Thomas, broker/owner of Metro Brokers Real Estate.

The master bedroom features a flat-screen television just behind the vanity mirror. The six-head Roman shower has heated tile floors. All of the bedrooms have custom cherry cabinets with black granite countertops.

The gourmet kitchen includes two ovens and dishwashers, plus a built-in Miele Epresso machine.

The 9,200-square-foot home gains another 1,500 square feet with the bonus pool room, which has a hot tub, swim-up bar and underwater seating. The pool also helps to regulate the temperature throughout the home.

The sale includes a black baby-grand piano located in the sitting room and a pool table in the recreation room.

The home has been relisted on the market for just over a month, down from a $3 million asking price last year.

The house sold to owner Merv Heinecke for $2.1 million in 2007, according the Mesa County Assessor’s website.

Thomas said she has shown the home to eight potential buyers but has not received an offer yet.

However, that many showings is a significant increase and a good sign of a rebound by the real estate market, Thomas said.
