It must be summer: Family-friendly Movies Under the Stars to begin

It’s an annual sign that summertime is coming quickly: the beginning of the Glade Park Movies Under the Stars.

The Glade Park Volunteer Fire Department turns the backside of its building into an outdoor theater compete with a concession stand and burgers grilled in an converted old fire truck.

Movies start at dusk at the fire department, 16400 DS Road, on Glade Park, but come early for a fun Friday nights, June 3 through Aug. 26.

The concession stand opens at 5:30 p.m., and the grill opens at 6 p.m., closing when the movie starts. Live entertainment goes from 7–8 p.m., and there are games for children ages 5 and younger with prizes, plus volleyball and hay rides.

Take chairs, blankets and warm clothing as it gets rather cool on Glade Park after sundown. No outside food or beverages are allowed.

Post this movie schedule on your fridge, and plan ahead:
