Journey to ‘Casablanca’ at Rotary’s Masquerade 2010

Take a faux journey to “Casablanca” at the Grand Junction Rotary Club’s Masquerade 2010 on Saturday, Oct. 30, at the DoubleTree Hotel Grand Ballroom, 743 Horizon Drive.

“Here’s Looking at You, Kid” features the setting of Rick’s Caf&233; Americain, a tribute to the 1940’s film “Casablanca” and the Big Band era.

There will be food and refreshments, with entertainment by the Frank Bregar Big Band, featuring vocalist Krystyn Hartman. Jazz pianist Walt Smith (aka Sam) will tickle the ivories in the bar.

Proceeds from the event benefit Mesa Developmental Services and its “A Home of Their Own” project.

Tickets are $100 each and $60 of that ticket price is tax deductible. Tickets can be purchased at Mad Margaret’s, Morris & Associates Accountants, Uniquely Yours, Partyland and http://www.masqueradegj.com.
