Junction hits record highs

Grand Junction experienced record high temperatures over the weekend, reaching 72 degrees on Saturday and 76 degrees on Sunday, according to the National Weather Service.

Grand Junction’s previous record for Nov. 1 was 71 degrees, set in 1973. The city’s previous record for Nov. 2 was 72 degrees set in 1978.

Sunday’s temperature also broke the record high for the month of November, 75 degrees, which was set Nov. 5, 1977.

According to National Weather Service forecasts, Grand Junction is expected to experience markedly cooler temperatures throughout the week, with highs in the 40s and 50s and lows in the 20s and 30s.
