KidzPlex’s Muhr qualifies for national gymnastics meet

Cammi Muhr of Grand Junction won the USAG Level 10 regional title on balance beam Friday in Albuquerque, N.M., and qualified for the Junior Olympic national championships.

It’s the third time Muhr, who competes for KidzPlex Gymnastics, has reached the nationals. She scored a 9.575 on beam, completing a new move on her dismount, which will be reviewed by the International Gymnastics Federation after the national meet. After the review, the move will be named for Muhr.

Muhr placed fifth on bars (8.875), eighth on vault (9.075) and seventh all around (36.175) to reach nationals.
