Last Rosevale holdouts sign up for water

The last two Rosevale-area residents who hadn’t signed up for water service from the Ute Water Conservancy District have agreed to the new service.

“We officially have everyone signed up for water service,” Ute spokesman Joe Burtard said.

With those final sign-ups, only a few customers remain to complete their connections to the Ute meters, Burtard said.

“All the meters are set and ready to be hooked up,” he said.

Ute officials are working with the customers to get their service lines installed, he said.

In most cases, the residents had only to complete a single tie-in, he said.

In other cases, especially in older residences, old lines couldn’t accommodate the pressure of the new system and new ones had to be run, he said.

“They are not without water at this time,” Burtard said. “However, they are under a lot of pressure to get their lines installed as soon as possible.”
