Law enforcement warns public of fugitive who escaped custody in Craig

State and local law enforcement agencies are seeking the public’s help in locating a fugitive with Mesa County and Garfield County ties, who escaped from custody Tuesday in Craig.

Police are looking for Jesse J Bowers, 36, is described as 5’ 7”, 170 lbs., with green eyes and brown hair. Bowers allegedly escaped custody after a parole revocation hearing Tuesday in Craig.

Bowers was convicted of burglary, assault and criminal mischief out of Garfield, Mesa and Moffat counties.

Police consider Bowers dangerous, and warn citizens not to try and apprehend the fugitive. Rather, they should contact Crime Stoppers at 241-7867.
