Lawmakers, governor to discuss Colo. agenda

DENVER — Colorado lawmakers are getting ready to unveil their agendas for the legislative session that begins in January.

Today legislative leaders also plan to discuss a bipartisan effort to cooperate on congressional redistricting as they talk about the upcoming session.

Gov.-elect John Hickenlooper, Senate President Brandon Shaffer, Senate Minority Leader Mike Kopp and House Minority Leader Sal Pace plan to attend the annual event sponsored by the Colorado Press Association.

Some issues expected to dominate the session include balancing the budget and promoting small businesses and jobs.
