Legislature This Week, May 9, 2011

The final three days of the 2011 session have arrived. Over that time, there will be committee meetings, floor work and more committee meetings as needed to complete work on remaining matters.

As a result, any calendar released by the Legislature is outdated almost a soon as it’s printed.

Wednesday: Sine die. Technically, that’s Latin for without day. It’s also the phrase the Legislature uses to signify the end of a session. At what time that occurs depends on what bills are left to do, but by law it must happen by midnight.

All floor action and committees can be watched or heard on the Legislature’s website, http://www.leg.state.co.us.
