Lottery ticket sold in Grand Junction wins $1 million

Prize not claimed as of Thursday, state official says

Someone with a Powerball ticket purchased recently in Grand Junction is a millionaire, according to Colorado Lottery officials.

The ticket was purchased at the Shell station, 745 Horizon Drive, sometime between Saturday and Wednesday night’s drawing.

Winning numbers were 4, 36, 40, 44, 52 and the Powerball was 33.

Erika Gonzalez, spokeswoman for the Colorado Lottery, said winnings had not been claimed as of 5 p.m. Thursday.

Gonzalez said the ticket is this year’s second $1 million winner sold in Colorado. Seven were sold in Colorado last year, she said.
