Man accused of killing child gets 20-year sentence

Daniel Ryan, of Montrose, was given a 20-year sentence today in Montrose District Court for his role in the killing of 14-month-old Hailey Rocha in September.

Police said Ryan was caring for Hailey on Sept. 11 when she suffered blunt-force trauma. Ryan took the infant to her mother’s workplace, where witnesses described her as pale and unresponsive.
