Man arrested after shots fired in Colorado Springs

COLORADO SPRINGS — An unidentified man is in custody after shots were fired outside of a home in a Colorado Springs neighborhood.

According to KKTV-TV (http://tinyurl.com/qyuzqvk ), the man also fired at a police robot. Police used flash grenades and a police dog to go in and get him.

Police say they did not fire any shots at the suspect because he did not fire at officers and a police dog was able to bring him down.

Police blocked off the area and nearby schools went on lock-down as a precaution. Residents in a one-block radius were also told to stay inside during the standoff.
