Man falls 60 feet while rock climbing near Golden

DENVER — Rescuers tried to revive a man who fell 60 feet while rock climbing with his two adult children west of Golden.

Karlyn Tilley, a spokeswoman for the Golden Fire Department, tells The Denver Post (http://bit.ly/10EYRgW ) the man was climbing with technical gear at a popular cliff near U.S. Highway 6 when he fell at about 1 p.m. Saturday. His condition was not immediately known, but Tilley says he was unresponsive and not breathing when paramedics arrived.
