Man arrested after being kicked out of club

A Grand Junction man was arrested Saturday at Infinity Night Club after being kicked out of the club and then allegedly damaging its front door, according to the Mesa County Sheriff’s Department.

Deputies arrested 23-year-old Antonio Saul Reyes, 645 W. Colorado Ave., shortly after midnight Saturday on suspicion of criminal mischief, third degree assault and obstructing a peace officer.

According to an arrest affidavit, Reyes was throwing rocks at the owner of Infinity Nightclub, 2993 North Ave., when one of the rocks hit and broke the glass front door to the club. The owner told deputies Reyes started throwing rocks after Reyes and a group of male friends were thrown out of the club but did not leave the club property.

The owner said Reyes in particular did not want to leave the property Saturday, according to the affidavit. The owner added he had had several problems with the group over the course of a few nights.

No injuries were reported from the thrown rocks, but the club’s front door was shattered, according to the affidavit, causing an estimated $800 to $1,200 in damage.

Reyes was booked into Mesa County Jail.
