CMU women draw rival Fort Lewis in regional opener
The announcement that Colorado Mesa University’s women’s basketball team will host rival Fort Lewis in the first round of the South Central Regional tournament is greeted with grins and a smattering of applause as the Mavericks gather in the conference room above Brownson Arena to receive the news. The game is Friday at 6 p.m. at Brownson Arena. It will be the fourth time the Mavericks (28-1) have played the Skyhawks (18-10) this season.
