Mesa County administrator finalists announced

Mesa County this morning announced four finalists for the county administrator post and will bring them in for interviews next month.

The finalists are:

- Donna Ross, currently the county’s development services and code enforcement director. She has worked for Mesa County for 17 years and has a master’s degree in business administration.

- Lynda Boswell of Leavenworth, Kan. Boswell has worked as a team member on the national team for the Iraq Local Commerce Program. She also has previously served as the town administrator in Kiowa and county administrator in Kit Carson County. She has a master’s degree in public administration.

- Roger Kolman of Maricopa, Ariz. Kolman is a certified public accountant who has served as assistant city manager and director of financial services in Maricopa. He has a master’s degree in administration.

- Chantal Unfug of Denver. Unfug has extensive experience in the Denver county and city service delivery system. She has a bachelor’s degree from Boston University.

County officials say they expect to know later today whether there is a fifth finalist.

The finalists will interview April 7 and 8.

There were a total of 40 applicants for the position, which is currently being filled on an interim basis by Tom Papin.
