Mesa County Democrats’ assembly set for weekend
The Mesa County Democratic Party Assembly will take place at Central High School, 550 Warrior Way, on Saturday.
The assembly, the second phase in the state’s caucus process, will choose delegates for the state party convention in May.
Check-in for potential delegates is 8 a.m. Democrats will hear from candidates or their surrogates during the morning.
U.S. Sen. Michael Bennet and his challenger, former Colorado House Speaker Andrew Romanoff, have said they will attend the event.
The Colorado Democratic Party Convention will take place May 22 at the Broomfield Event Center.
The Mesa County Republican Party’s assembly will take place April 10 at Palisade High School.
