Montrose County attorney resigns

Montrose County Attorney Robert Hill has announced his resignation and will pursue other opportunities, county officials announced late Wednesday.

Hill, who worked for the county for nine years, will officially leave the county on Aug. 31. County commissioners will review the criteria for the county attorney position and begin a search for Hill’s replacement as soon as the details are solidified.

“He has been a valued, hard-working asset to Montrose County,” Commissioner Ron Henderson said in a statement.
