Montrose County looking for young man regarding couple’s deaths
The Montrose County Sheriff’s Department is looking for a young man for questioning in the deaths of a couple at 16378 6030 Road.
“We are looking for one person,” said Montrose County Sheriff Rick Dunlap. “The person that we’re looking for is a male, age 19 to 20. We want to talk to this person because this person was here yesterday. We just want to talk to this person to establish a time line.”
The two people discovered dead this morning were found by their son, Dunlap said.
“At 7:58 we received a 911 call from a 15-year-old male who reported he had found his parents dead,” Dunlap said.
A neighbor, who declined to be identified, said Kama Sanburg and Scott Clarke lived at the residence. Investigators have not released the victims’ names.
In addition to the Sheriff’s Department, the Colorado Bureau of Investigation, the deputy coroner and a special investigator with the district attorney’s office were on site of the home at the intersection of 6030 Road and Oasis Drive.
A mailbox at the address said it was the TJ Bar Ranch. According to the Montrose County Assessor’s Office, the property is owned by a company called River Rat LLC.
A second crime scene being investigated near Colona this morning is unrelated to these deaths, Dunlap said, and was an unattended suicide.
