Montrose man dies in Highway 92 wreck

A Montrose man died in a rollover along Colorado Highway 92, according to the Colorado State Patrol.

Hugh Scott Brown, 58, was pronounced dead Monday morning after being taken by ambulance to Delta County Memorial Hospital.

The State Patrol said Brown’s 2002 Jeep Wrangler Sport went off the right side of the roadway at mile marker 12, started rotating counterclockwise across both lanes of traffic and went off the left side of the road after Brown overcorrected.

The Jeep rolled once, and Brown was ejected, the State Patrol said.

The accident was reported to authorities around 9:35 a.m.

Drugs and alcohol are not suspected factors, the State Patrol said.
