Monument to hire seasonal employees

Colorado National Monument plans to hire 10 to 15 people as seasonal maintenance workers and seasonal trail workers.

Applicants must apply by March 23 through the online federal job site.

Start dates vary. The first workers will begin in May, with the majority of them starting work in June.

Those considered for a position will be put through a federal background investigation. The positions are full time and may last as long as six months.

“Anybody that likes to work hard and be outside ... we would love to see them apply,” said Joan Anzelmo, Colorado National Monument superintendent.

Anzelmo warned that the federal job site could be difficult to navigate, and applicants must take care to fill out information properly.

“Having a super-high quality application will make all the difference in the world,” Anzelmo said.
