More time to comment on grouse
A comment period on the proposed listing of the Gunnison sage grouse as endangered has been extended from March 12 to April 2.
The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service has proposed two rules, one that would list the Gunnison sage-grouse as an endangered species and the other to designate more than 1.7 million acres of critical habitat in western Colorado and eastern Utah.
There will be a second opportunity to comment on the economic analysis for the proposed critical habitat, which is expected to occur in May. The Fish and Wildlife Service will accept comments on all aspects of both rules during the second comment period.
