New Subway location open for business

Jessi O’Neil makes a chicken breast on wheat for Eric Moyer at the new Subway location on Patterson Road.

Green and yellow balloons and a waving sandwich drew drivers from Patterson Road into the newest Subway location for lunch Monday.

The new sub shop is located at 2412 Patterson Road, No. 4, directly across the street from Mesa Mall.

Many customers who live and work nearby expressed their happiness that the new store was now open to Manager Jessi O’Neil. They said they loved the new location because they did not have to go inside of Mesa Mall just to get a sandwich.

“A lot of people have been really happy and they’ve been saying how nice it looks in here,” O’Neil said.

Customer Eric Moyer was surprised to see the new location open. He said he thought it would be a successful place for business because that end of Patterson was such a busy travel corridor. “It’s nice to have something down here besides fast food,” he said, adding that he always orders the same sandwich, a chicken breast on whole wheat bread.

Subway is running it’s $5 Footlong promotion at all locations. There are 15 Subway Restaurants in the Grand Valley according to O’Neil.

The “Patterson Subway,” as customers are calling it, is open from 8 a.m to 10 p.m. seven days a week.
